In May 2018 the owner of Boyd Valley Lake, a coarse fishing lake in the green belt south east of Bristol, asked Vision Planning to help with potential enforcement proceedings threatened by South Gloucestershire.

The landowner had built an amenity block in association with the fishing lake and a Camping and Caravanning Club campsite.  The amenity block was unauthorised and he wanted to widen the customer base to all campers rather than just members of the Camping and Caravanning Club.

Vision Planning prepared and submitted a planning application in October 2018 to use the land as a camping and caravanning site, and to retain the amenity block, arguing that a change to the National Planning Policy Framework in 2018 supports campsites in the green belt.

As a result, the application was approved in February 2019.
