Stuart has experience of the EIA process and has produced screening assessments, scoping reports and environmental statements relating to larger developments. For example, he produced an environmental statement for a large residential development at Old Sarum Airfield in Wiltshire, submitted alongside a planning application.

To help a local community group objecting to a major industrial development at the Olympic Park in London, Stuart produced a critique of the EIA work undertaken for three planning applications.
